EXTENDED MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
The Red Bank Schools are closed on May 25 and 28, 2012 for Memorial Day Weekend. Since we did not use the reserved snow days, the district will also be closed on May 29, 2012. Schools will be closed for students on May 30, 2012, as well. This will be a Professional Development Day for staff only. This is in lieu of two out of three unused snow days.

Khan Academy
The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit organization with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere.
Anti-Bullying
There’s a new “sheriff” in town, and he’s a student. Specifically, he’s the student who suggested the Red Bank Middle School start an anti-bullying squad to help students who were getting pushed around. Principal Marie Iozzi tapped Elijah Gray to run it.
ACNJ Advances Efforts to Build Quality Kindergartens
Kindergarten is the linchpin between a child’s quality preschool experience and early elementary grades. To provide information and supports to school administrators responsible for kindergarten programs, ACNJ and its partners -- the NJ Department of Education, the NJ Principals and Supervisors Association and Brookdale Community College -- held its 3rd Annual PreK-3rd Leadership Conference on Oct. 28th. More than 150 educators and stakeholders came to learn about quality kindergarten practices in New Jersey and across the nation.
At this training, a new series of kindergarten videos, which were co-produced by ACNJ and the state education department, were released.
